  1. Homemade chicken noodle soup, it’s what I am known for. I learned this recipe from my dad and he in turn learned from his mom, it has been in the family for many generations originating in Germany.
First you take a whole chicken and toss it in your pot of water, dice a whole onion, four or five talks of celery diced and add 3 tablespoons of Mexican chicken bouillon; this makes or breaks the taste in my opinion.( Knorr Caldo de Pollo I won’t use any other kind) Toss that all in the pot and let it cook down for 4 hours. Pull the chicken out and debone it and now its time to make the home made egg noodles.
Take three eggs and beat them in a small mixing bowl. Now add one cup of flour little by little to avoid lumping. Once you have a very thick consistency its time to transfer the mixture to the cutting board. Lay down a thin layer of flower to avoid sticking and in the center put a small pile of flower. Transfer the mixture onto the pile of flower and start kneading the mixture adding flower. Once you have the mixture to a flaky consistency its time to start rolling the noodles out. Take your rolling pin and start rolling them out, keep adding flower on top to avoid sticking. Roll the noodles to about 1/16 of an inch thickness, then cut the rolled out noodles in half. Now roll the noodles up like a fine Cuban cigar and cut them into 1/8 inch sections. Unroll them and toss them into your pot of boiling stock and in twenty minutes you be enjoying this wonderful soup. Enjoy!

  2. I don’t always drink beer, but when I do I prefer Dos Equis….I love these Dos Equis commercials; I think they are the best booze ads going. They are so funny and chauvinistic. These ads claim that if you drink Dos Equis you can be like the character in the commercials and ads, a complete suave ladies man, able to conquer and situation and overcome any obstacle. From surfing giant waves to leading expeditions in caves, to catching marlin with your bare hands, there is nothing this man can’t do as long as he has a Dos Equis and a cigar with him. They don’t go so far as to claim that if you drink Dos Equis you will be just like this man of mystery in this commercial but it is most defiantly implied. So much is left unsaid about who he is. That is why he is so interesting and that’s why the commercials are so funny and intriguing. I guess if you drink enough Dos Equis you will find out in a drunken stupor but, I sure wouldn’t want to try any of these exploits he is shown doing with a few too many beers in me. That’s one thing I have always wondered about the ads are why they are mixing action sports and alcohol but I am sure that is just big business trying to capitalize and make a few bucks. But it seems dangerous to say the least portraying such an in control man doing amazing feats of strength while drinking beer. That’s advertising for you skewing reality doing any and everything they can to grab a viewers attention to sell the product. These ads most defiantly work, more than once I have been at the store contemplating my beer selection for the night and said to myself …..I must stay thirsty my friend!
